Now you can have Epdetect app! It is an accelerometer based on mobile phone application that uses superior signal processing to detect epileptic seizures. You should know that it runs on most mobile phones that support SMS, movement detection and GPS position location.
If a seizure is detected, Epdetect will contact your carer with GPS position.
Detector Active Screen:
- Status Message – a “Seizure Detected – press the clear button for 5 seconds to cancel” message will be displayed.
- Audible Alarm.
- Count Down Timer – the countdown timer is flexible from 1- 60 seconds.
- Clear Button – allows you to clear the detector active status, which also cancels any outgoing SMS alert.
Alarm Active Screen:
- Status Message – press the cancel button for 5 seconds to point the end of a seizure message.
- Audible Alarm – A second audible alarm will continue to play until the alarm active status is cleared.
- Cancel Button – allows you to clear the alarm status, which also causes an end of seizure SMS.
- Additional Message –“This person may be having an epileptic fit” will be displayed on screen.
